Commercial classification and physicochemical characterization of beets from a no-till vegetable planting system under different densities of corn stover

The cultivation of sugar beet (Beta vulgaris L.) for table or horticultural purposes is largely carried out in the conventional way which characterized by intense mechanization causing soil degradation and high labor costs. New techniques are being employed production vegetables aiming to ensure improvements environmental economic conditions, such as no-till farming system. Thus, objective this work was evaluate vegetable classification physicochemical characteristics beets from different corn planting densities. experiment conducted period October 2018 June 2019 municipality Nova Laranjeiras (PR). Corn used a cover plant cultivar Early Wonder Tall Top. experimental design interspersed blocks unifactorial scheme (corn densities 40, 60, 80, 100 thousand plants/ha control) with four blocks, plots 3.60 m long 1.20 wide. parameters evaluated 60 days after were: commercial (class, group, subgroup, category), length, diameter, mass, pulp firmness, soluble solids, titratable acidity, pH ratio, phenolic compounds. Of variables that were not significant at 0.5 probability category (defects), subgroup (flesh color), solids It concluded mulch SPDH crop negatively affect grade characterization products.
